As a specialist at Parkway Central High School, Dan earned Sportsman of the year both his Junior and Senior year as a Varsity lineman and snapper.  Dan attended University of Missouri Columbia for his Freshman year.  He was active in intramural athletics, but had decided not to pursue an athletic career in college.  During his Freshman year however, Dan decided to transfer to Drake University to further his education.

As a transfer Sophomore at Drake, and after meeting many of the football team, Dan opportunity to walk on for the Drake University Bulldogs.  He earned invites to preseason camps, and earned Scholar-Athlete Honors the remaining 3 years Dan attended Drake.  During his Senior Year at Drake, Dan worked out as a Javelin thrower for Drake's Track and Field team.  He placed in several meets, but unfortunately suffered a shoulder injury, that cut his season and future athletic career short.

Dan now focuses on coaching proper technique and health to prevent injuries from damaging a specialist's potential and future.  He started working with Elite Special Teams Academy - Snap Kick Punt in 2017 and has worked with the Lindenwood University Specialists in 2018 and 2019.

In his personal life, Dan is married with a daughter and works in his family's manufacturing business.
